My Mother's Day

This Mother's Day was amazing. It was all around perfect-the only thing missing was my baby! HA! She actually had to spend mothers day with her gramma, It was very odd not having my child or my mom with me on mothers day, but other than that it was a great day.

I woke up to breakfast in bed! I even had Syri with me (her face on the coffee mug <3) and yes, my breakfast was served on Syri's high chair tray LOL

After breakfast, I got ready and went and got a mani/pedi. I hadn't had nail polish on my fingers probably since high school, they looked so pretty (not so much 2 weeks later) :(

After getting my nails done, we were headed to Seattle. We got a quick snack on the pier as we were waiting for the big surprise.

We had a little friend join us for lunch, more so stalk us in hopes he could have our lunch....it was ok tho, I get a kick out of watching the bird hop around and just watching the different personalities.
Finally it was 4:15 and time to find out what the big surprise was, It was a 3 hour dinner cruise with Argosy Cruise!!

Being mothers day (and I am a mother) I got complementary champagne-YUM
Champagne, manicure and a map of our cruise route.
We had the best seats in the house, a nice comfy booth for two!
Yes, I look retarded...I was too focused on taking the picture :P

Dinner was AMAZING! (salmon, crab legs, asparagus, fruit, and some other meat-I forgot)
Dessert was also AMAZING! Cheesecake and chocolate mouse-DROOOOL
Special thanks to our server for this picture, he took good care of us!

Corinne's Maternity Shoot - Part II

Today we shot part 2 of Corinne's maternity shoot. We had great weather and a fun location (at least I think so) even Anna was behaving and let me capture a few sweet moments of her and Mom.

 More love for sister Lorelai

Doesn't she look amazing for being 5 weeks from her due date!?

Anna and Syri got to play together while both mommies were busy taking pictures, they are so good together and such great friends!

And again, we will post Corinne's true personality..... :)

Gardening with Syri

We recently planted our garden in the backyard.....then we got hit with a few days of freezing temps and most of our plants died :( So today we went out again and got new plant starts to replant. We have been working on this project since last spring and we WILL have a home garden this year, it must happen!!

So we made a trip to walmart to get some cages for our new tomato starts and we happen to see a kids gardening set. We thought it would be perfect for Syri to do and watch her new veggies grow inside :)

First we had to construct the green house

Daddy had to help with the walls because mom just couldn't figure it out :(
Then it was time to add the soil....
 Then added in the seeds...

We planted four different seeds, tomato, cucumber, pepper, and eggplant

Now its all finished!!

Shes hugging it, I think she loves it :)

Corinne's Maternity Shoot - Part I

One of my best friends is having a baby!! I can hardly contain my excitement!

Yesterday we attempted to do some maternity pictures of the family before her husband is on military training for basically the remainder of the pregnancy.  (boo!)

It was already a long day for us all, but we managed to get a few pictures in, even a few with their daughter Anna who just didn't want to cooperate at all. She must have sensed how important this shoot actually was because she was everywhere BUT where we wanted her to be.

(you can see that look in her eyes)

We did however get a few shots of mommy and daddy together-so Mission Accomplished!!

I am looking forward to our next sunny day (I hope sometime BEFORE she goes into labor) to get some outside pics of just mommy. I was feeling a little limited in my home "studio", so I REALLY hope we have the chance to do Part II of this session where we can be a little more creative :)

My favorite pics of the session--this shows Corinne and Nathans personalities for sure :)
